4A: Brainwashed

Check out "Brainwashed" on http://changethis.com/

In Gordin's article he talks about acknowledging the lizard. He's talking about the voice inside you that's always gives your the "what if" feeling, what if I fail. He's telling you that you need to acknowledge this feeling and you should not be at its will. You need to do what you want to do without worrying about being laughed at. Successful artistic people put their work out there without worrying about this and in turn can learn from their mistakes. He also talks about a level called ship. You need to be the indispensable person and  the one that makes things happen. If you do this then work will come to you and you will not have to look for it. I think that is one of the ultimate goals to have as a creative person. Become know for your work so people will come to you and you don't have to go looking for them.
